PARENTS: Protect Your Kids and Put That E-Juice Away!

Lately it seems like the news has been inundated with stories about nicotine poisonings caused by e-juice; and of course they're always followed by warnings about the "dangers" of e-cigs. Stories about children (and pets) somehow getting ahold of their parents / owners e-juice and drinking it isn't the kind of press any of us want or need! We already have enough hurdles to jump without an easily avoidable problem of e-juice poisoning. It may seem like commonsense, but apparently not everyone knows that e-liquid / nicotine can be dangerous. And even when people are aware of the dangers, they seem to overlook the potential risks to the people (and animals) around them.

Seduce Juice Review - Delicious, Well-Crafted E-Liquid

Seduce Juice Review
I've experimented with a lot of e-juice over the past few years, and even though I have hundreds of taste tests under my belt it seems like the experimentation process never ends. I've tried a variety of local blends, as well as some of the most popular and widely-known e-juice companies from around the country, but one company that's slipped my radar up until now is Seduce Juice. They have a dedicated following and I've heard rave reviews about their products around the Web, but it wasn't until recently that I gave them a shot. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it takes a lot to inspire me to write an e-juice review (BORING!!!), but Seduce Juice definitely deserves some praise.

Regulated APVs Vs. Mechanical E-Cigarette Mods

Regulated APVs Vs. Mechanical E-Cigarette Mods
A few weeks ago I discussed the basics of e-cigarette mods and quickly outlined the two main types of devices: regulated advanced personal vaporizers (AVPs) and non-regulated mechanical mods. Every electronic cigarette MOD will fall into one of these categories, and since they operate and perform so differently, it's important to understand them both before you make a decision. E-cig mods ARE NOT meant for beginners, so if you have a good grasp of the basics and are ready to move forward, read on...

The "E-Juice Flavor Experiment" Never Ends

After several years of vaping and experimenting with an endless array of e-juice flavors, you'd think that I'd have a clear list of favorites and a rock solid lineup of go-to flavors. Although I certainly know what I like and have a few types of flavors that I prefer, it seems like experimentation process never ends! Just when you think you've got it all figured out and have your starting lineup in-place, a new flavor crosses your path and you're off on a new adventure. Suddenly the old flavors don't seem so appealing anymore, they're shoved to the side and you focus on a new set of winners. It can be a little bit daunting at times, never being fully complacent, but I think a big part of the appeal for me, and other vapers, is the ongoing evolution and the constant ability to alter your experience.

Don't Be Discouraged By Low-End, Disposable E-Cigs

Low-End, Disposable E-Cigs
The vaping journey can be a long and winding road. For many people, that journey begins with a low-end, store-bought e-cigarette. With ZERO knowledge or expertise with e-cigs, the ease of picking up a cheap disposable product from a local gas station or convenience store can be hard to pass up, especially if you're curious about electronic cigarettes. Although they can act as a decent intro into the vaping world, cheap disposable e-cigarettes often leave users dissatisfied; doubtful about whether or not they can substitute, or possibly help them quit smoking. Don't be discouraged! There are better, more satisfying options available, and you won't find them at a neighborhood retail outlet.

Simple Ways to Increase E-Cig Vapor Production

Ways to Increase E-Cig Vapor
Who couldn't use a little more vapor? Vapers often talk about flavor and "throat hit," but to me VAPOR IS KING! Flavor can easily be tweaked by switching (or mixing) e-juice, and throat hit isn't a big deal for me, I'd actually prefer less. Vapor production, on the other hand, can be affected by various factors and has a big impact on my overall satisfaction level. Too little and I feel like something is missing, too much and... can you ever have too much vapor??? In most circumstances, NO! Give me some more vapor!

Taking A Leap Forward Into E-Cigarette Mods

Electronic Cigarette Mods
If you've been vaping for any length of time you've undoubtedly heard the term "mod" used by fellow vapers. As you probably guessed, mod is short for modification. Although "mod" was originally used to describe modified homemade devices, these days a variety of companies are producing professionally developed e-cigarette mods - also referred to as advanced personal vaporizers (AVPs). Plenty of people still build their own custom-made devices, but for the sake of this article I'll be discussing the commercially produced products offered by many electronic cigarette companies, suppliers and vape shops.

Invisible E-Cigarette Vapor??? I Think I'll Pass...

Invisible Vapor
One of the reasons electronic cigarettes are so effective at helping smokers quit is their accurate portrayal of the REAL THING. They mimic the act of taking a drag from a real cigarette, provide the same burning sensation in your throat and reward you with a satisfying cloud of vapor that looks and feels like tobacco smoke. As satisfying as this may be, it also draws negative (and unwanted) attention from the non-smoking crowd, alerting people to what many believe, is questionable or unsafe behavior. So what if you could remove the vapor and go into "stealth mode?" Several companies are doing just that, but does the vaping community really want (or need) invisible vapor?

The Lotus VapeCase Turns Your Cell Phone Into an E-Cig

Lotus VapeCase
Last month I wrote about a new, "hybrid-style" product that seemed kind of ridiculous -
the Supersmoker Bluetooth e-cig. An e-cigarette that acts like a smartphone? No thank you! Well there's another new product playing on the cellphone theme and this one seems a bit more practical. Rather than turning your e-cigarette into a Bluetooth enabled device, your cell phone becomes an e-cig! Meet the VapeCase by Lotus:

A Big Wet Kiss! Apollo's Wet Kiss E-Liquid Review...

Apollo Wet Kiss E-LiquidBefore I get started... let me clear the air. Normally I'm not the type of guy who writes e-juice reviews or critiques individual flavors. First of all, people's flavor preferences are so different that it seems kind of pointless. I've tried plenty of e-liquid that people rave about - only to find out that it sucks. I've had friends pawn stuff off that they can't stand - and I love it. It's so subjective!

Plus, it's extremely difficult to put your experiences into words. How do you write about the dozens (or hundreds!) of different flavors you've tried without sounding repetitive? "Love this one," "that one is OK," "not a huge fan," etc. etc. etc. The only time I bother sharing my experiences with e-juice is when I get blown away by a product. In this particular case, I've fallen in love with Apollo's limited edition Wet Kiss E-Liquid.

PG vs. VG - The Great E-Liquid Dilemma

PG vs. VG E-Liquid
A confusing dilemma for many first-time vapers is how to choose the right e-liquid - or "smoke juice." The truth is, besides nicotine and added flavoring, the liquid that fills every electronic cigarette is made up of two core ingredients – propylene glycol (PG) and / or vegetable glycerin (VG). There really isn't a "right" or "wrong" choice when it comes to these ingredients, but each has it's own unique qualities and the performance of your device will depend heavily on the PG vs. VG content of your e-juice.

EVOD vs. CE4 / CE5 Clearomizer Tanks

CE4 Vs. EVOD Clearomizers
Over the past few years I've experimented with various types of atomizer and tank setups, but clearomizers are definitely my go-to choice for all day vaping. They hold plenty of liquid to last throughout the day, they're cheap and easy to replace, and they perform extremely well when given the appropriate care. Two of the most common "clearos" are the Vision CE4 / CE5 and Kranger EVOD tanks. I've had plenty of time to play with both, so here is some feedback on these widely used clearomizer setups.

Bluetooth E-Cig That Acts Like a Smart Phone... Really?

Bluetooth E-Cigarette
It was only a matter of time. "Hands-free" Bluetooth technology is everywhere - in our smart phones, cars, TVs, radios, keyboards, gaming systems... and the list goes on. But do we really need Bluetooth tied into our electronic cigarettes? The gadget guy in me wants to love this idea, but I'm not so sure my e-cig needs to play music or if I'd feel comfortable talking to it while I'm vaping away at the local coffee shop.

My first post /slash/ rambling...

This is my first official post on Blogger! I hope you aren't expecting much... these are just my personal ramblings about electronic cigarettes and the vaping industry. I like to think of myself as an expert, but there's always something new to learn in the world of e-cigs... so PLEASE SHARE & INTERACT!

Hopefully we can all learn something together, but if not, if you're even the least bit entertained by my posts then my goal has been accomplished. I plan on sharing some of my personal experiences, as well as my opinions about what's happening with electronic cigarettes and the vaping industry.
